How is the information collected and used

About Parents who use the Service and create a profile in the CyberNanny app, we have the right to use the following information:

  • the first and last name of the Parent’s user;
  • the Parent’s email address.

About children who are controlled by the CyberNanny app:

  • we do not collect information about the Child’s first and last name. The parent can use any nickname;
  • avatar (profile photo). The parent has the right to put any picture, even one where it will not be possible to identify the Child’s face;

We collect device usage statistics to display the functions that we have declared in Parental Control:

    • Location – We collect and use a unique user ID and the location of the mobile device on which our CyberNanny application is installed. The geolocation of the Child’s mobile device is collected using GPS, Wi-Fi or wireless triangulation. If you do not want to collect data about the location of the Child’s mobile device, then in the settings of the mobile device (on which our application is installed), restrict the application’s access to location data;

    • battery level of a child’s mobile device;

    • information about the time (as a percentage) spent using other applications on the Child’s device;

    • a list of contacts stored on the Child’s mobile device;

    • call history (contact number and name, if any);

    • the history of the web browser and watching YouTube videos on the Child’s mobile device;

    • history of messengers on the Child’s mobile device;

    • the type of sound mode on the Child’s phone;

    • pictures and photos on a children’s mobile device;

    • Blocking apps – block or limit the daily use of apps on the child’s device. To activate the ability to remotely block applications or set a time limit on its use, the program requests permission to enable the special features of the phone. When granting this permission, you can be sure that your child will spend time usefully, and not playing games;

    • Smartphone statistics – parents can view the battery level, the amount of Internet traffic used, and available memory. To activate this feature, you need to grant the Cybernation application permission to read the phone status;

    • Information about installed applications. By granting permission for information about installed applications, you can have comprehensive parental control over the launch of applications. Information about installed applications helps prevent the misidentification of applications as malicious by our application’s security products and offers solutions to enhance security according to your requirements. Data about installed applications will be transmitted and stored on our Service in your personal account (https://cabinet.thecybernanny.com) for exactly 1 calendar month from the moment of receipt. After the storage period expires, the data is irreversibly deleted;

    • Protection against deletion. To prevent a child from disabling or independently removing “CyberNanny” from their smartphone, the application sends a request for permission to enable the “device administrator mode.” By making the application a device administrator, you can ensure that “CyberNanny” will not be removed from the child’s phone. If the child attempts to uninstall the application, a request to enter a special code will be prompted.

  • Surrounding device sound at the parent’s request – recording the surroundings upon request within a radius of no more than 2 meters, and the ability to listen to it, is only available to users with the installed mobile application CyberNanny, who are registered and linked to a single account. At the same time, the child’s mobile device displays information that audio recording is in progress.

All data will be transmitted and stored on our Service in your personal account (https://cabinet.thecybernanny.com) for exactly 1 calendar month from the moment of receipt. After the storage period expires, the data is irreversibly deleted.

Parents can contact us to view, delete any personal information collected by the Company regarding the child, or revoke permission to collect additional information about the child.

If you have any questions about your child’s profile, you can always contact our support: support@thecybernanny.com
