When we launched CyberNanny in 2023, we wanted to do one simple thing — make a parental control app that we ourselves would enjoy using. No dark patterns in subscriptions. No aggressive «buy PRO» pressure. Honest support that actually replies.

Over these years you — parents from Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania and dozens of other countries — chose us among dozens of alternatives. That's not marketing — that's trust. We understand what it means to give access to your child's messages, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

What we built together

Every CyberNanny feature today is the result of your feedback. Brief timeline:

  • 2023 (launch): basic monitoring — location, screen time, browser history. 5 000 first users.
  • 2024: added 8 messenger monitoring (Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Instagram, Facebook, VK, MAX, Signal) — the #1 request. Launched iOS version. 30 000 users.
  • 2025 (January): AI Advisor — parents asked for «not just data but advice». Launched on Claude Haiku. 60 000 users.
  • 2025 (August): launched parent-child chat — after 300+ requests «how do we keep the child from uninstalling». Effect exceeded expectations: uninstalls dropped 70%.
  • 2026 (March): AI alerts for risky content — bullying, strangers, dangerous challenges. The idea came from parents after a series of letters «something strange in my child's chats, can this be automated».
  • 2026 (May): switched to freemium — all core features became free forever. Thank you for supporting this transition. 100 000+ parents at this point.
  • 2026 (May): 10-language support — added tg/kk/az/hy/ka/ro besides ru/en/uz/uk by requests from CIS.

What came from your ideas

5 features that wouldn't exist without you:

  1. In-app parent-child chat. Idea: «child uninstalls CyberNanny every two weeks». Solution: built-in messenger with photos, voice, edit/delete. Kids don't uninstall what they use to talk with parents.
  2. Masked AI alerts on free plan. Idea: «I want a basic warning even without subscription». Solution: first alert of the month with details, rest masked.
  3. Open mode vs hidden. Idea: «control shouldn't be surveillance». Made open mode default — child knows, rules can be discussed. Hidden mode remains an option, but we stand for openness.
  4. 10-language support. Idea: «my family speaks Tatar/Tajik/Armenian». Added CIS-country localizations from request list.
  5. AI Advisor with data context. Idea: «generic internet advice is useless». Made AI see your child's real data and answer to a specific case, not templates.

Where we go next — Roadmap 2026-2027

Much exciting ahead. Main items for coming months:

  • Q3 2026: voice-call monitoring (metadata). Not call content (privacy violation), just metadata — who calls your child, how often, when. Helps catch suspicious contacts.
  • Q3 2026: «school mode». Auto-silence schedule — weekdays 8:00-15:00 social media blocked, games too. By school geofence.
  • Q4 2026: extended weekly AI report. Psychological week breakdown — mood trends, new contacts, activity changes.
  • Q4 2026: smart home integration. Via smart plugs turn off child's router after limit, via Google Home and Alexa.
  • 2027: white-label for schools and clinics. If your school/teen psychology center has a request — write to us.
